About the speaker
Hélène Timpano is Executive Vice President, Strategy & Corporate Development at Centerra Gold Inc., where she leads the company’s long-term growth strategy, including mergers and acquisitions and key partnerships. She also serves as President, US Moly, overseeing the management and strategic direction of Centerra’s US molybdenum business, including the Thompson Creek Mine and the Langeloth Metallurgical Facility.
Hélène brings extensive experience across mining operations, project development, and corporate strategy. Prior to joining Centerra in 2023, she held several senior executive roles at Kinross Gold Corporation, most recently as Senior Vice President, Operations, where she led operations and technical strategy. Throughout her tenure at Kinross, she also played a key role in enterprise strategic planning, M&A due diligence, and asset-level optimization initiatives, while overseeing functions such as Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Continuous Improvement.
Earlier in her career, Hélène worked as a consultant at Bain & Company, advising global organizations on strategy and operational performance.
Hélène holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Integrated Engineering and an Honours Business Administration degree from Western University’s Richard Ivey School of Business, as well as an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
