About the speaker


Hélène Timpano is Centerra Gold’s Executive Vice President, Strategy & Corporate Development and President of US Moly. She leads the company’s long-term growth strategy, including mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and the development of its molybdenum business.

An experienced mining executive, Hélène brings a unique blend of operational, technical, and strategic expertise developed across global mining operations and project development. Prior to joining Centerra in 2023, she held a series of senior leadership roles at Kinross Gold Corporation, most recently as Senior Vice President, Operations, where she led operations and technical strategy and played a key role in enterprise planning, asset optimization, and M&A due diligence.

Earlier in her career, Hélène was a consultant at Bain & Company, advising multinational organizations on strategy and performance improvement.

She holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Integrated Engineering and an Honours Business Administration degree from Western University’s Ivey Business School, as well as an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.


Drawing on her cross-functional leadership experience, spanning operations to corporate strategy, Hélène is focused on building resilient, forward-looking mining businesses and advancing opportunities in critical minerals at a time of increasing global demand and strategic importance.
