About the speaker
Angelina Mehta is a global mining executive with more than 25 years of experience across finance, joint ventures, investment management, and operations. She most recently served as Vice President, Health, Safety, Environment and Communities (Aluminum) at Rio Tinto, where she also held senior leadership roles including General Manager, Joint Ventures and General Manager, Projects.
Her career spans mining investment banking, corporate strategy, and executive operations, with prior roles at Laurentian Bank Securities, Paradigm Capital, North American Nickel, and The Sentient Group. Angelina has extensive board experience in both public companies and not-for-profit organizations. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of Lundin Gold and the Canadian Mineral Industry Education Fund, and is a member of the Audit and Health, Safety, Environment and Sustainability Committees.
Angelina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering and an MBA from McGill University, a Master of Laws from Osgoode Hall Law School, and has completed the Institute of Corporate Directors’ Director Education Program.
