During this luncheon, Ani will discuss the landscape for raising capital in today's market, the rise of new M&A trends and what they mean, as well as insights on developments in the U.S. and how they could impact capital raising efforts.
Ani Markova is an investment professional, sustainability advocate and independent director of public companies. With over 25 years of experience in the capital markets, including a successful investment career as an award-winning portfolio manager, she has a proven track record in integrating macroeconomic trends, equity analysis, and environmental, social and governance (ESG) assessments into strategic capital allocations and risk management. As an independent board member of three resource companies, she has taken on board leadership roles, including chairing sustainability committees and serving on audit, governance, and compensation committees. Leveraging her expertise in finance, capital allocation, macroeconomics and commodity cycles, Ms. Markova is committed to assisting businesses in transitioning to a decarbonized and sustainable future.
Ani Markova is also a Co-Founder of Onyen Corporation, an innovative ESG Reporting Solution for public and private companies, and is currently focused on business development for the organization.
She is currently serving on the board of SilverCrest Metals Inc. (TSX: SIL, NYSE: SILV) and Critical Elements Lithium Corporation (TSX: CRE.V). She also served as an independent director of Golden Star Resources, which was acquired in January 2022.
Ms. Markova holds an MBA from George Washington University in Washington DC, Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Canadian Investment Management (CIM), Corporate Board International (CDI.D), Competent Bards (GCB.D) and Climate and Biodiversity (CCB.D) designations.
