Topic: CSA Multilateral Staff Notice 58-307 Staff Review of Women on Boards and in Executive Officer Positions – Compliance with NI 58-101 Disclosure of Corporate Governance Practices (Staff Notice 58-307). The notice summarizes the results of Staff’s review of disclosure of over 700 TSX-listed issuers with year-ends between December 31, 2014 and March 31, 2015 following the implementation of amendments to National Instrument 58-101 Disclosure of Corporate Governance Practice.
Kathryn Daniels: Ms. Daniels became the Deputy Director in the Corporate Finance Branch of the Ontario Securities Commission in February 2013. Previously, Ms. Daniels was Deputy Director in the Enforcement Branch since 2009 and has been a member of staff since 2000, where she acted as both litigation counsel and manager of litigation. Prior to joining the Commission, she practiced commercial litigation with a large Toronto firm, following her graduation from the University of Toronto law school in 1992, where she also completed the inaugural Global Professional Masters of Law program (GPLLM).
Sandra Heldman: Ms. Heldman is a Senior Accountant in the Corporate Finance Branch of the Ontario Securities Commission. Most recently Ms. Heldman has been leading the CSA review of Women on Boards and in Executive Officer Positions. Prior to joining the OSC in 2000, Ms. Heldman held senior financial positions at Canadian divisions of two multinational corporations and received her CPA, CA while practising at a large Toronto accounting firm.
